Jon Huntsman So the U.S. Presidential Candidates

Jon Huntsman, a former U.S. ambassador to China, Tuesday (21/06/2011), officially ran as candidates in U.S. presidential election in 2012 against bekan own boss, Barack Obama. But his position, according to opinion polls, is still far behind its rivals in the Republican Party.

He announced his candidacy at Liberty State Park in New Jersey with the Statue of Liberty as a backdrop. Ronald Reagan announced his candidacy in the same place in 1980. Huntsman called the condition of America today "totally unacceptable," and he promised new jobs, energy independence and a simple tax rule.

With a promise to make "hard decisions" for the U.S. to prevent drowning in debt disaster, former governor of the state of Utah was officially announced his candidacy. Based on the poll results, Huntsman, 51, was behind the other candidates of the Republican Party for the nomination of the party in 2012, but he is expected to benefit from media coverage.

His decision to compete in the presidential election worried the Obama administration from the Democrats because of Huntsman could attract voters from both parties. Huntsman has angered the White House last April when it put his position in Beijing to prepare itself against Obama, who picked it up in 2009.
