How to accredit scientific journal?

The circular issued by the Directorate General of Higher Education Ministry of Education and Culture regarding the obligations of the publication of scientific papers as a condition of graduation students of S-1, S-2, and S-3 to cause confusion among colleges. A number of university leaders to question the readiness and capacity of existing scientific journals, especially those that have been accredited. 2. Using the methodology and procedures for appropriate scientific writing.

"Do not forget to use the reference of the international journal writing, in-review by experts, and has at least risen for three consecutive years," said Sri, at the House of LIPI, Jakarta.

He added that a legitimate scientific work using the book as a reference text. However, it would be better if a scientific paper using the reference of many journals. In addition to the actual, the journal also presents a broader view of science.

Journal and ISSN registration

To register and obtain an ISSN journals, research institutes or universities must pass through several processes, namely:

A. A letter written request that the periodical publishers;
2. Carrying two copies of its first publication, or two copies of the front cover page if the journal has not published;
3. Enclose two copies of page table of contents;
4. Enclose two copies of the editorial board of the page;
5. Attach a complete bibliographic data that includes information about the frequency of publication, the first year of publication, the language used, and so forth.

ISSN respective administration fee of Rp 200 thousand. Registration can be done directly on the WWII LIPI, or register online through http://issn.pdii.lipi.go.id. Meanwhile, requirements and proof of transfer fees by mail or fax ISSN.

ISSN is a code that is used internationally for periodicals, and is given by the International Serial Data System (ISDS) is based in Paris, France. By getting ISSN, will make it easier to identify some of the publications that have the same name as the ISSN are given only to one periodical titles. ISSN also simplifies the administration in terms of ordering periodicals. Because, quite simply ordering ISSN mention of that periodical.

"For the scientific journal published in Indonesia, ISSN is one of the conditions to be met," said Sri.
